Does justhost support IMAP ?
IMAP is enabled by default on the shared hosting server plans, there is no configuration required from within cPanel. In your email program you would use IMAP instead of POP3. Use your full email address as your account username and your email password, use yourdomain.com as your incoming and outgoing server. Can I host a site designed in iWeb from a Mac on Just Host?
Yes, you can host iWeb sites on your Just Host account. Your username would be ‘publish to location’ and your password for the control panel and the destination would be your domain.
Does JustHost offer Ruby on Rails support?
Yes, Just Host offers Ruby on Rails support. The web program can be found in your cPanel account under ‘Software/Service’ as ‘RubyGems’.
What versions of PHP and MySQL does justhost provide?
Just Host currently offers PHP 5.2.5 and MySQL 5.0.45 with all hosting plans.
Does Just Host support PostgresSQL?
PostgresSQL is not currently supported by Just Host at this time, however, they do offer MySQL. Please contact our sales team on sales@justhost.com for further information.
Does just host support FastCGI or WSGI?
At present Just Host only support FastCGI and not WSGI.
Can I install TeamSpeak on a shared hosting account?
It is only possible to install TeamSpeak on Just Host’s dedicated server hosting packages at the moment, as it requires a large amount of resources from the server.
Would you recommend Emacs, VI or Nano?
When using the SSH service just host recommend that you use the text editors programmes VI or Nano rather than the Emacs.
Does just host support a CVS Server or Subversion?
Just Host supports the Concurrent Versions System (CVS), also known as the Concurrent Versioning System on our linux shared hosting accounts. CVS is an open-source version control system that keeps track of all work and all changes in a set of files, typically the implementation of a software project, and allows several (potentially widely-separated) developers to collaborate.
Just Host supports subversion software on their dedicated hosting plans only. This software requires root access to install.
Does justhost support Java?
Yes justhost supports Java Script on their shared and dedicated servers. They also support Java Server Side on their dedicated plans. For further information please email justhost technical team at: support@justhost.com.
Does justhost support JBoss?
Yes, justhost support JBoss on their dedicated server plans, Tomcat also needs to be installed on the server for this application to run. For further information please contact justhost technical team at support@justhost.com.
Does justhost offer reseller accounts with WHM?
JustHost does not currently offer reseller accounts with WHM on its shared hosting plans.
